Sounds like a good trip, all be it quick.

I left a message on Jamo's phone - but he had left it in his car - that was on the way over; on the return trip we were in a hurry because my brother had a plane to catch in Sydney, and we were only in Esperance for about half an hour.

I did not have a lot of luck catching up with any Landrover people except did manage to contact RichardK in Perth, and, of course, had a superb reception in Wilmington from Wayne (Ellard) and David - can't recommend them too highly.

I would have liked to have spent a lot more time, but there were quite severe time constraints all round. But the trip went well, although apart from a few side excursions and some roadworks, it was all on bitumen.

As I said in an earlier post - not bad for a 21 year old car with close to 500,000km on the clock. Says something for Landrover reliability and durability? Apart from the tyre problems, all I did was put fuel in and check levels each day - and clean the windscreen several times each day!

The only "preparation" was to give her a service, replace all shockers, fit a long overdue new steering box, and one new tyre, and put an extra five pounds in all the tyres.
