Was there for two weeks one November. Temperature got to 14 one day. Never over 11 the rest of the time. Even had sleet and black ice. I was just about ready to kill for a 30 degree day. My family back in Qld. were not of any help, telling me it was 34 in Brisbane and the sun was shining brightly.

    Tassie

    Hi Everyone,
We flew into Launceston and had the first night there. Nice town and lot's to do there. Headed over to St Helens for second night and what an unbelievable drive through the country and hills to get there.

Then back up through the Tamar valley and over to Burnie for a look around. Down the highway through Perth and over to Bichinio. Then down to Port Arthur and Hobart.

Flew back from Hobart. Absolutely whirlwind trip but had a ball.

JustinC small world it is, the lady you spoke to on the spirit of Tasmaina about getting their Disco serviced is my wife's cousin.

Next trip back home to Qld for the christmas week as it has been some time since I was home there.

Definitely see Tassie as it is absolutely a great place.

Well we had absolutely fabulous weather for four weeks last February - only two hours of rain which fell between midnight and 2am and with most days in the mid to high 20's (and even a few in the low 30's) we were swimming every couple of days.

All this after being told by a local back in 1988 that the only time people swim in Tassie is on 29th February!
