Sounds and looks like a good day. Thanks for the pics Pete.
I just attended my first 'gathering of rovers' on the weekend at Cooma. The Motorfest 2007 was a great event with a large variety vehicles: from modern to vintage;civilian to ex-military; and cruisers to tank transporters.
I met some wonderful people too and got to put a face to some familiar names
Many thanks to WileE for letting me tag along
Here's a few old Landy's in attendance:
and of course there's always a young ring in:
Cheers,
Pete

The workshop looks like the one that was on Ebay in Adelaide,or the one in Tas.they seem to have very similar markings.so does it belong to a REMLR member?.![]()
Yes,
It was a great day. Thanks for the photos Pete! The early Land Rovers are a 1948 (-the fully restored one), 1950 (with the capstan winch), and a 1953. The Range Rover is from Sydney. I get to be featured (back to camera in the olive jacket in the tent - fifth photo down). The Land Rovers were displayed by members of the LRACT and LROCA/Syd (apologies if I have missed anyone else) and was to promote the 60th and "show the flag" for the Cooma Monaro club who will be helping next Easter.

No worries... it was my pleasure to be there
I'll let the various owners identify their vehicles if they wish.... but I don't feel comfortable advertising their pride and joy....
The workshop is in the safe custody of a REMLR member. I don't think he has let on much about it yet. It's very, very nice... but I'll let him tell that story..... It does have the same markings as the Tassie one - so well picked master chief
I'm just uploading pics of the other ex-military vehicles atm... I'll post about them in the REMLR section.
Cheers,
Pete

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Only other vehicle Ellard would want me to take - although he would have seen many.
