What did the Americans in the first video think they were doing that was so important it necessitated driving like that?![]()
Pity the poor tractor driver:

Was that a yellow Land Rover at 1.59 in the first video?
well spotted (I think...) - your prize is a return trip to Bagdad to find the owner of it and have them join AULRO user group so they can share their experience with the rest of us...

Seen that first video posted somewhere before, and some of the replies quite rightly pointed out that "if you were an american in iraq, would you want to stop for anyone over there?"
Insurgents are constantly trying to lure them into ambushes, and unless they are being very obvious, the ambush could be absolutely anywhere.
Agree or not with the americans being over there in the first place, a street like that is a dangerous place for them to be trying to drive.
That was taken early in the conflict when the bad guys would box in the American Army and fire big nasty exploding objects at them.
I suppose they announced that they had a clearway on the roads but it seems by the video that many were too slow moving out of the way.
The hummer must have a good bar on the front from the whack the bus received.
I laughed when i saw them pulling up behind the bus, thinking that he'd never try the same with something bigger than himMy mistake

Incredible footage, just amazing what these people get up to over there, no respect for other peoples gear, if you look at the footage there is a Landy ute on the right as it roars up the street.![]()
