What worries me is that in a year or two ( if he last that long) Rudd will be booted out and gillard and her union mates will be running the show. They are useing him to get the votes and get them in . I just hope he is strong and can keep them on a lesh. If not we are all F***ed

I only want Rudd in for selfish reasons...
watch the aussie dollar drop 20-30% against the US$ within 6 months
watch the price of fuel (and hence food) rise 20-30% 3-6 months after the dollar continues to drop
as a consequence of the dollar movement, watch the big mining employers reduce all their costs of operation as they are paid in US$ on exports, so 20-30% less funds to spend means less jobs (unless by pure **** the mining mob manage to renegotiate pricing with China *snigger!* as if!). This means more morgagee auctions... means more whinging 'battlers' means more tax for high income earlers to pay for the growing unemployed in mcmansions...
it's a good time to be overseas earning US$ for future investment into cheap aussie housing IMHO.
I say interest rates will top 10% within 18 months.
So who's staying up to watch "Australia Votes" tonight![]()

I am, partly because JH is my local member.
Johnny has said he's not staying full term, he's just hanging about for the moment 'coz he knows the libs have less chance without him, so all this "sticking with what you know" is BS.
When he's gone, whether costello gets to be PM won't be up to johnny, it's just what he says he would like. It will be up to the party to decide, so basically if the libs get in you have no idea who will be PM.

You know what where getting with Rudd just a younger version of John Howard. Rudd is conservative as Howard is no more no less. Rudd is a multi-million- air mega rich, far cry from the labour party's grass roots. Rudd is also more liberal than labour even though he can't admit it.
Which is exactly what happened here in WA with the current Labor Govt; and exactly what happened under Hawke/Keating.
Here in WA we'll be back to the good old days of the eighties if Rudd gets in! 48hr strikes for not enough icecream flavours; not having salt & pepper engraved on the shakers in the mess (they were only printed on); and another strike for an engineer at a mine changing the globe in his office (he was not a member of the correct union). No Joke, all of these happened.
HOLY FLYIN' FROG FRECKLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought my post was funny but you lads (& ladettes) crack me up.
Ellards I actually have a pair of crystal balls, but neither of them get rubbed often unfortunately!!!!![]()
