Kellys would have to be one of the worst tyres I have ever seen.
When working in a tyre shop 8 or so years ago, we fitted a heap of Kellys to all sorts of cars and it nearly drove the boss broke as we had heaps of recalls and blow outs as well as hugely out of balance on fitting as well as separations shortly after fitting.
There were the odd good set and you must have got one but there were quite a few bad batches so we stopped selling them.
A Kelly Mud Terrain also cost my mate a Hilux and nearly his life and his GF's and it was only a couple of years old.
Im not saying that they will be the same as then as most likely they wont but I wont be buying any at any time soon.

I borrowed a set of Kelly 35'' muds approx 2 years ago and got 2 punctures in one day trip to Gembrook.
Never considered using them again
Unfortunatley, this is the only experience I have had with Kelly tyres.
Cheers
Dave.

My father travelled with a friend through the Tanami and he got 5 punctures whereas my Dad travelling on BFG AT's had none. They were running the same pressures, travelling same speed and similarly loaded. I dont think it was just bad luck...and think they were just bad tyres.
But its like every brand of tyre I guess...people might swear by them whereas other people swear at them! lol
Hey if you were happy with them last time and want to run the risk again go for it.

Oh well - doesn't sound too good. Thanks for the feedback. One thing that I have heard is that there Australian made Kelly's and American made Kelly's - and the Australian ones are crap.
Don't know if this is true or not and can't even remember where I heard it.
Will have to think a bit more about which tyres to replace the Michy's with. Definitely liked the Kelly's on the D1 though.
Cheers all ............... BM
