    The Land Rover Wave

    One and all,

How do you find it in your neck of the woods?

I find, driving a Series 2A, I will get a wave out of other Series, County's and most Defenders (but not all) but, Disco & Freelanders...not!

Does it vary from state to state, from the bush to the city?

Ive been waved at by an old series. It was a huge full arm dislocation on the highway in the oppisite direction. Mrs Numpty spotted me, and have also had new and old Range Rovers.

I've been getting plenty of waves from fellow Disco drivers. The tendancy is probably to wave to people in similar vehicles (ie Disco to Disco etc) before cross-model waving although I have had plenty of Defender waves too.

I one a Disco, Rangie and a Ser 3 Ute ! This topic came up a while ago and it seemed that Disco owners did not wave !

So Ive been trying it out ! I mostly drive the Disco and have not been getting any WAves Not even the Defender owners ?

    I'll keep trying !

The other funny thing is ............As soon as your in the country and on off road trips everyone one waves ! ! ! ANY CAR type !!

Its seems everyone is too busy in the CITY

    Cheers

Hi BBC - it would be great to discuss the Land Rover Wave but there was a big thread on the Wave recently.

BBC, is the Wave alive and well in Southern Afghanistan?

Speaking of Afghanistan, any chance of pics and stories on Land Rovers operating in that environment?

I'm sure most members here would welcome your efforts if you could give us a first-hand insight to the role Land Rovers are playing over there.

    Any chance?

D3 to D3 wave in Darwin the other day. I was well chuffed! I've waved at Defender owners when out in my D1 or D3. No response. Inverted snobs!

I was down at Bondi Beach with the kids last Saturday in the Defender and got the wave from a Disco. I've been meaning to post it up all week.

First Disco wave ever - excepting OI.

    So who was it?

    Cheers
