    Freelander 2 versus Commodore

I got rear-ended this morning by a Commodore station wagon

The Freelander defiantly came off the better of the 2 cars but my reversing sensors are buggered and the back bumper has some nice scratches in it.

The driver who hit me picked a bad time to turn and look at her husband as the traffic slowed to a stop at the same time and it just took away her stopping distance.

Anybody know a good Land Rover repairer in Brisbane? I think the bumper will need to be replaced because a lot of those scratches are a few mm deep. I'm based near Browns Plains but work in Toowong.

I was driving an old Commodore for 6 years and didn't get hit by anyone (on the road), My poor car is only 9 weeks old and its already taken a whack from behind

reminds me of when a commodore rear ended me in my series 3, couldn't find a scratch on the series 3, thought I found one, but it was just his paint. totalled the bonnet, bumper and one headlight on the commodore because he went under the back, plis the smarp military bits on the series 3!

    Mate...comiserations

I've had the misfortune to need a panel beater twice in the last 2 years. Used Hadwen's in Hudson Rd, who did a fantastic job on my hail damaged Liberty and my wife's front ended Forester.

Check in your service books - there should be a list of Land Rover approved repairers in there somewhere.

My Dad swears by Darwin's Smash Repairs. In South Brisbane (West End maybe).

Unfortunately for my Dad he is on a first name basis with them and mostly his fault

i got a 50mm long black smudge on the rear corner, he did most of a side and one of his flash rear vision mirrors in.

could not believe the damage considering such a small mark on mine...

    Sorry to hear about it,

We only had our LS400 for about 3 weeks when an unlicensed driver, underage, driving an uninsured vehicle that he had no permission to drive ran up the back of it. The other half is pretty switched on, got all the info, and when a relative of the driver arrived and tried to say, it's only a tail light, we'll pay for that, the misses refused and insisted on insurance details and contact numbers. That is when we realised the idiot was under 16, had 'borrowed' his old mans work ute, and was driving it around to visit mates.

We got the Lexus repaired OK, and the insurance company is chasing them for the $3600 it cost to repair and paint

And to top it off, the little peanuts old man rang me and wanted to know who was going to pay for the damage to his work vehicle!! What an oxygen thief!
