I'm about a 4th or 5th generation Aussie.
However my last name is as German as they come. Yet I can't speak anything except English. Apart from the mandatory foreign swear words you learn at school.
When I was at high school the Greek kids thought I was one of them.
A teacher said I looked more aboriginal than an aboriginal kid in the class.
I eat out at asian food places as much as I can or I make it at home.
I don't like lamb chops.
Meat and three veg is as boring as it gets.
I drive an imported car ;)
What is the typical Aussie these days?

I didn't realise it was going to generate that much of a backlash... I guess I should have screened my reply better... didn't mean to paint RonMc as a redneck (appologies mate), I'm sure it was just a joke...
...I was just hoping to start a bit of a debate
What started out as a small jibe back at Ron's joke / post started to get a life of its own...
...and well... ... upon re-reading my post this morning, I can see how many would get the impression I REALLY took the issue to heart. I just had a bit of time to kill... and a story to tell.
In any case, it's good to see overwhelming support for Australia's immigration policies...
How about support for Labor?... can we get similar consensus there?... or would that be pushing it? :D :wasntme:
In any case it's a bit late to be drumming up that one... the election's already been and gone!
