    Yep I second that. I would love this to be true however only ever heard this on AULRO. I think this might be a bit of a AULRO beat up. Come on guys anyone got anything factual on this. We are better than this aren't we, than to believe in hear say. As said would love this to be true.

    I would hazard a guess at the gearbox and / or most of the drive train with 650Nm in front of it!!!

    A bit like the old freelander, it was a good idea but it didn't work....

    How much duress do you reckon that V8 is under at that state of tune.
    Now ask yourself how hard the 2.5L is working.
    The rover V8 is also notoriously underpowered for the size of it, but they go on and on.
    Any engine can be tuned up, ANY engine.
    But you never get sumthin for nuthin.

    Its total detonation of the bottom end of the motors....

    Now what was it you said on the other forum about never buying a car from a country your ancestors fought in the war?.....

    That said, now LR has been sold again, I doubt we'll buy another when the D3 is up for replacement in a couple of years. Won't be buying a Toyota though.

    IIRC the D3 TDV6, has 140kW & 440Nm of torque. I don't have the diagram in front of me but the flatness of the torque & power bands has to be seen to be believed.

    If you're so keen on the Toyo engine, just buy that & slot it in.
