2007 Defenders (AGAIN!)
Did anyone else see 5th Gear this morning? They had a 2007 Defender with 38" tyres, saying on the road it was rubbish(compared to a Porsche maybe) but off the road it was unstoppable. Took it on some fairly rough country, I think it was Iceland.

Some interesting information about the Defender engine. It looks like alot more power will be available with a bit of tuning (chip)

Yes mate we watched it, was good and didnt it look nice with the wheels and extra wheel flaires. I found the staitment that the engine is tuned to run on fuel thats not of good quality ?????.
It would be good to see more of the video shot because we didnt get to see that much

You know, that walled courtyard at Eastnor makes me think of the "wall" in Darlinghurst, Sydney with the hookers all lined up...

I like their comment at the end - "from dust to dust" the Defender is one of the most envoronmentally friendly vehicles around based on that fact that around 75% ever built are still on the road.
We did a thing a few weeks ago where one of the local politicians turned up in his Toyota Prius (Pious) as part of his "I'm so green my farts don't even smell" image. I could only think how much environmental damage three or four worn-out Prius's with all their batteries would do compared to the lifespan of our Defender.

Bad comparison
Hmmm, if it was a stock vehicle I'd be more impressed. How can he sit there saying how good a Land Rover is when that one is clearly tricked up to the nines? Sure it looks awesome but it's not comparing apples to apples when talking about the stock Land Rover Defender 2007 edition.

Landrover made 2 of them one has 35 inch tyres and the other has 38 inch tyres
They made both at solihull just to take them to Iceland for some show over there or something. I have the articale at home in one of the pommy mags.
The head bloke of landrover offroad experience centre in solihull was one of the drivers that went to iceland in it.
They also had a standard 110 fully preped as part of the support crew
