    It’s a done deal, Ford has sold LR

    Just got the via Rangerover.net, it seems that Ford has just sold Jag and LR to the Indian group, Tata.

    Here’s a link to the news item, of all places, in a New Zealand newspaper.

    Well only time will tell if this is a good thing or a bad thing. One thing is for sure it's not good for the long term future of any brand to be constantly sold every few years.

    hard to imagine it is going to get any worse than what it was under ford.

    Ah sad news, I love Fords and to have them owning Land Rover was IMHO great.

    My dad use to drive a TaTa in the late 70's BUT.....

    they also have tried to get get into the market place here for years
