This is guaranteed not photo shopped.

It is a 48 cylinder, 4200cc engine made from s1/kh250 cylinders, by Simon Whitlock.

"Each motor is basically 8 "s1 /KH250" cylinders bolted on to cut up standard casings, with a 8 cyl built up crank, in turn they are bolted to a housing, gear linked and driven thru a BMW road bike gearbox, as the bike is pretty long already it would be difficult to put a transverse drive thru a gearbox. It has taken almost three years of hard work and he has overcome some huge problems to get here - - where do you even start to think about building a bike like this? . . . Oh, by the way, Simon is not an engineer of any kind - he oversees the building of shopping precincts etc

Don't look at it as a bike, look at it as a pure feat of engineering . . . and Simon built a Nitrous injected, fuel injected, water cooled, supercharged H1 about 5 years ago! . . . . How will he top this one? He can't - WHO CAN? I think as you say, his next project may be reverting back to a small engine and gaining the maximum horsepower from it "

"The bike has a small 75cc "Donkey" engine under the seat to start it."

"The ignition is by 6 x 8cyl E-Type Jaguar distributors."

"Oh, and not only does it run - but it is rideable - JUST! - the engine and box alone weight just over a ton! "

    One has to ask... Why?

There was another strange MC kicking around several years ago that had three Jaguar V12 engines, one behind the other?? It was called "Big Ben".

    Why?... I have no idea.

    Cheers,

    Simple really.

    COZ THEY CAN.

Sure beats the 6 cylinder Honda CBX my mate turned into a trail bike.

Whip that throttle open, your mates would have to go get your arms for you.

The beast would leave taking your arms with it.

That just has to have more kick, than the supercharged Nitrous burning 2 litre Subaru, sand drag bike I rode a while back.
    Just has to.

There are two bikes here in Brisbane that are eye-openers. One is a Vee twin made from two cylinders of a Rolls-Royce Merlin with a Detroit Diesel Roots blower. The other is a registered road goer with an aluminium small block Chev.

Theres some mob building a huge bike with a 350 chev engine in it, I have seen 1 across the road from my MIL's aunties place in montrose but I cant remember what its called.

I recon thats a pretty good effort for a 48cyl bike, would go like stink I'd recon.

    ...here's another bit of talent..

    YouTube - Radial engine motorcycle

Not sure what engine this is but from memory about the smallest production radial (Continental?) was rated at 220hp. Thats a fair bit for a bike but i'd guess she'd be a heavy bugger. Might not like sitting in Sydney traffic too much
