Remember, Toyotas built the Snowy Hydro:o
Toyota makes these claims to the gullable, unfortunately they are plentiful.
Or maybe fortunately.......if the all bought landies they'd be very hard to come by!
I would suggest you take them up on their offer of a test drive of the greatest 4wd ever. Take it where you want and get a mate with a fenda to tag along.....that could be interesting!
the most capable truck as standard the moment would be the Rubicon Wrangler, 33in tyres and front and rear lockers as standard, that instantly makes Toyotas claims rubbish, and they havent taken the fender and the D3 into account, i dont care whats on the new Toyota, its still not as good as a D3 off road. But it does have push button start.
G'day Folks :)
It will be interesting now that Ford has sold LR, to see if Land Rover Australia gets anymore automomny :) and will be able to import more vehicles, seenin that Ford can't control the market share for LR and seeing that TATA wants to become a Global Manufacturer and Marketing force:) It could herald a new era for Landrover;)
BTW. the only way that Toyota got into the Snowy Scheme was that Thiess Bros were the contractors and that one (Cecil) took on the then unknown Toyota Distributorship for Australia, and the relaxation of import restrictions.
cheers
dunno about this year--
in 2006 there were 18757 RRSports sold world wide,,
Land Rovers biggest seller.
its not in the same universe as the F150
800,000
