You're in my territory here.
It absolutely is false advertising. Toyota really need to be taken to task for their claims and statements, which are incorrect and misleading.
While we all know that many of the LR vehicles will see off a 'cruiser,
the exposure of claim is a worry for them (Toyota).
...the makers of some recent Jeep vehicles and the MB g wagen may disagree with the claims of Toyota...
Put up a Pinzgauer or a Unimog (both available and street legal) or a 'fender, D3,
or an RR and see how the 'cruiser stacks up....
Advertising standards in Aussie have fallen over the past years,
because no-one challenges the claims...

hmmmm...... truthfulness in advertising......cute idea.
Try these:
For a very popular shampoo:-
"Bendy Flexy Technlogy"
For a recently advertised hair thingy:-
"Iso-ceramic technology"
These days you can claim anything, make odd comparisons such as "Energiser Akalines outlast Duracell (standard heavy duty)"
Cosmetic companies are the best at it though![]()
D4 SDV6, a blank canvas
hang on -- is toyota releasing a new 4WD, with a nice reliable donk (think like isuzu 4bd1), a tranny to last (think like how the later 2A's went), and a nice series body; (ok, at this point I think I'll let blknight.aus finish it off)
then uh-oh![]()
Hi there all
I hear what your all saying - but the sales figures each month are definatly not looking good for Land Rover in Australia.
Toyota has been strong for some time.......but I believe the Ford Territory has even more impressive sales fiqures (also roumored it will be released with a V6 diesel next year "could it be an off spring from dealings with Land Rover & Ford")
My views
Wayne
Kermit should be finished early next year......
maybe....
