    Zigzag Railway

Heard, today, that the entrance to the tracks from the Zigzag railway had been closed off. Does anyone know any more info about this. I was thinking of doing a trip up that way in a couple of weeks, using that entrance.

That story was going around a few months ago. The track across the railway line isn't gazetted. Neither the council, the steam train operator or the saw mill want to pay for maintenance, and the latter two don't want the extra insurance.

Its just a matter of going into Lithgow & picking up the Glow Worm tunnel road to get in.

It was open the last time I went up there (about 3 months ago), but wanted to make sure.

Thanks for the replies btw. If it is shut I'll just use the next one along.
