    An observation of zero importance

Ive noticed that when i see photos of Land Rover 4wd outings everyone is well presented, with usual bits of grim of a hard days work etc.

But when you go onto other forums and see Jap 4wd outings, their clothes are in tatters to start with. Bare foot or thongs etc.

Im aware of that what you are wearing means jack, but its just an observation.

You haven't met myself and Lokka have you?

I wear what is applicable for the day, all my offroading clothes are all old and crap with the exception of boots, you cannot skimp on footwear in the bush.

So when are you coming out and observing first hand? I'll wear my suit (not the first time one has been worn offroad either)

Its not a matter of presentation, just practical wear for the Australian bush.
Good boots (elastic sided preferred ) are essential for many obvious reasons.
I've seem quite a few photos/youtube videos of groups of blokes wearing thongs and with stubbies in hand performing a dangerous winching or recovery operation - asking for something nasty to happen IMHO

Yep your correct, the Jap drivers are normally bogans and yobbos who swill from cans of VB.

Landy drivers are more refined dressed in Harris tweeds and sip on Chardy. It's from the house of Windsor you know.

I do in fact own a very nice Harris tweed sports jacket, not worn out bush of course.
Forget the Chardy, pass the good whiskey please.

Blundstones, Hard Yakka's, Aussie leather bush hat and Norton "Wolfe" industrial poly-carb impact resistant, UV safe safety sun-glasses.

    That, is the uniform.

    To settle matters

I don't own a cardigan, nor a corgie. I have been known to exit the bush covered in diff oil and mud. My driveway is covered in oil stains and mud and I have many a pair of ripped pants, yet I don't own a Defender

    What am I?

    That's easy.

yeh well I have one of them, among others but I'm still looking for an offroad photo of us scruffy lot in impeccable dress.

I reckon it would be worth a laugh.
