There is always the Variety Club Bash.
Oh my, yes.
There is a tiny little old HB Torana in the shed.
Time to find or fabricate, a really ridiculously big 4WD chassis, for the Torana.
I feel another project coming on. A fun one.![]()
For some reason the image I originally had of landy owners were that of tweed hats and what not, but anyone who has a Series knows if you are out in it most likely you well end up under it or over it somewhere, a series and dirty greasy clothing goes hand in hand, dont forget that smelly old Akubra, I still have fond memories of Harry Butlers show on telly and the venerable Les Hiddins, these were and probably still are the people I associate Landys with now. They wore khaki and thongs
I wear whatever is appropriate - this time of the year it does tend towards shorts and thongs, although it does vary with the job - for example, cutting firewood will usually mean overalls, boots, eye and hearing protection and gloves, rescuing bogged neighbours will mean pulling the thongs off and putting on boots.
On the other hand, in the cooler part of the year, moleskins, boots, leather jacket, or, if wet, Drizabone, for a trip to town.
The only time I would wear a suit would be weddings and funerals. And I don't own a tweed jacket.
And, of course always a hat, although this will vary according to the task and the time of year - Akubra, hard hat, bush hat, or round here, usually the once white cloth hat, now stained with sweat, EEP90, RX super, etc, because it has a wide stiff brim.

I am going to buy tweed wear for 4wd purposes.
I wear thongs.... Sometimes even bare foot it!
I don't use my feet for anything other than walking/balance and just like a native australian my feet are fine.
I am very safety conscious, but I do wear thongs. My trusty Japanese work boots.
I also have no problem with wearing a good pair of boots.... I just don't own a pair as yet
Old tatty clothes fit my descriptionor my GCLRO tshirt (prob gets worn more than three times a week
)
