i would be taking it back to land rover.......who would then pass it straight on to their engineering dept......
there is a major flaw in your rig........im sure they will re-imberse you with the latest model fender......
as this should be covered by warranty......irrespective of the vehicles age......

easy the floor water drainage system is sufficient to over come the roof leaks and let the water out faster than it can get in...

I actually have a theory about this...

we all know that landrovers have calibrated leaks intsalled in the floor to allow flooding of the cargo area and foot wells to reduce bouancy and increase traction whilst fording.

the leaks in the roof are actually vents to let air out and in with the changing water level..

    want proof?

take an empty beer can, what? you dont have one, go empty one it makes the experiment so much more fun. fill your kitchen sink to about 2/3 the height of the can and turn the can upside down (thats why it had to be empty to start with so you didnt waste the beer) and then try to push it under the water, feel the bouyancy of the can? your landrover does a similar thing if you ford it deep enough.

Ok now take a kitchen skewer and poke a hole in the bottom of the can, hrmm, put your finger on the puncture wound in your off hand, hold it up high and hollar for your other half to come and bandage your hand, I understand, its cool, I'll wait.

stopped bleeding? rightyo then so now with the non bandaged hand try to push the can back in the water while the can is upside down, dont put your fingers on the hole, see how much easier it goes under as the can fills with water it looses bouancy. Applied to your 4x4 this equates to more traction....

I once had that problem but it seemed to sort itself out.
    (...not leaking, that is)

I hate to tell you, you may have bent your chassis, therefore the panels are now watertight.

Ah yes, Blacknight, the master of all things techical.

This explains the normal tendancy for Landies to fill with water perfectly. Those engineers at L/R will stop at nothing to make the best 4wd.

But does this mean I need to go and float test mine now to see if I have a major system failure??
