After having four new injectors fitted to my Tdi I was keen to see what difference there would be on a run in fuel economy from the old set. A trip down to a family property in South Gippsland along B and C roads provided the perfect opportunity.

The magical figure according to my owners manual is 42 MPG, constant speed 90 km/h (yeah right)

So I drove at 90 km/h constant speed and returned 39.3 MPG including a little bit of country town driving. With fuel getting so expensive I'm extremely happy with that.

The limit on the SG Hwy is 100, so doing 90 doesn't feel "too slow". With speed limits being lowered around schools etc left right and centre, how likely is it that in order to meet emissions targets Mr. Rudd will lower the speed limit on interstate freeways from 110 to 100?

The difference in fuel economy between 110 km,h and 90 km,h is AMAZING.
