    Look at it this way at least you weren't driving a 60 ton b-double 2.8 metres high under a 2.6 metre high bridge like ya see on the news every now and then . funniest one i seen was a cattle truck going through the melbourne tunnel and a cow decided to stick it's head out the top and smash the electronic sign to bits

    At least you used a trailer. My mother once decided she'd take something - like a tree with all its branches to the tip 5 km away. All she did was tie it to the back of the VW and off she went.

    My brother in law once disengaged the trailer off a semi trailer without putting the stays properly in place - he was a bit ashened face when he took off in the prime mover to see the trailer collapse on the ground.

    Years ago I put a new roof rack on Defender complete with Hella lights across the front...came back from trip, threw up the garage door & drove in wiping out the lights and major work to the roller door
