wha who ordered new number plates

One of my customers that owns a fleet of landies, has 'HIS 130' for his dual cab, and 'HER 110 'for his misses 110 wagon.


She was horrified when he put them on her car, but she's got used to it now apparently...:o


I thought of 'DFNDA' if I was to buy a new one, but as said by some, I can't really justify the $$$ for plates when I loose the front one offroading regularly!:p:p:p
(BTW, some should pull their head in and just not bother posting if it is just to cause an argument. There is my 20 cent tip for the day, take it however you want.)

I happily admit that I passively drive my Kubota... a four wheel drive system with centre and rear diff locks, combined with a 16 speed transmission, short wheelbase and the tightest turning circle, plus a brilliant filthy noisy smelly IDI Japanese diesel engine leaves the landies for dead off road:D:D

I know the fellow with MADMAN plates and they cost nothing per year as they were on the car pre 2003, (actually I just checked my picture file and they are BADMAN on a light green metalic D1), maybe there are two individualists out there with good tast in plates?

My plates BRM 000 on my Defender cost nothing as been on cars since 1988, simply my initials.

When I got my Range Rover I enquired about the next number available which was BRM 006 and they were $130 (I think) on top per year, so I don't have personal plates on this car until they see the light, I would buy if a one off buy price though, $130 is a tank of fuel after all.

I got 110FNQ, everyone knows not to bother hicks............:D:D:D

PMS 247...

There might be fights over that one on here at the moment..

I've got "Big Stig" on my V8 Disco, named after the stigs American cousin on top gear, and because its big and white and its got an American engine. :D

When I applied for the plates it had to go pass a panel who regulate plates because they thought it might be rude :angel: they must have thought that I was showing off :lol2:

I have been reading this thread with interest, what I want to know,is, does McRover realise how hard it is to read a Rego sticker at 100kph from the left hand lane as the D2 slides effortless by, and lesser mortals are driving Econo boxes and looking in envy:)

As for personal plates, there is a group of us here in Qld that got their plates as "Re-Issue" White on Black in the old nunbers;) some samples:

OLR-067 1967 2a Ambulance (you know that one)

OLR-068 1968 2a GS 6028 Uncle Ho's rocket


OLR071 1971 2a GS current whereabouts unknown

They used to look impressive going down to Anzac Parades

In Qld you buy the plates and you own them no further charges.
