What we voting on here? What is good? Me slightly confused![]()
Recommended for sand driving especially if you are on your own. Very easy to use and very effective if used early, dont sit there spinning the wheels till your bogged to the door handles. They are over priced but effective.
I voted yes but at the price I won't have them anytime soon. Spoke with the guy about a year before they went big time in the advertising and they did seam good.
I got some h/duty aluminium grating from the scrap yard and cut it in two to make two tracks. Each track weighs 9kg and is strong enough to use as a bridge (ie: both front wheels on the middle of the track with only the ends supported will not buckle them). Scrap aluminium is $6 per kg.
If anyone in Melb is interested, there was a section at Challenge Metals in Bayswater (Canterbury Rd) just the right size for 2 tracks 2 days ago. Weighed 19.5kg @ $6 per kg (cash) or $6.60 (Card).
If I can get my 4WD back on to the dirt I am intending to pick a set up to add to the recovery gear.
