road tires and slimmy mud dont mix![]()
Conditions didn't look too bad, but a pretty embarrasing video. Traction Control looks like it's doing its stuff but not much forward movement.
Dud tyres?

130's rule
Tyres were probably blocked, probably a sticky mud surface like clay...
BUT it seems to me the driver wasn't booting it hard enough![]()
yeah , tyres , driver not giving it enough , but also it appears that the front and rear axles are not locked in together so between front and rear axles there seems to be slipage ? at some point there is only front tyres driving ? may be CDL
or 4wd not engaged ? or is it automatically engaged on new RR?
Definatley tyres and drivers inexperience
yep road pattern rubber at road pressure in the licorice strip configuration not enough noise but hey lets give the rangie some credit it was moving and it wasnt ploughing up the ground to do it.

Traction vs Momentum.
It's also a perfect example of where narrow tyres are quite often better in mud than the big fat ones... (too much flotation)

It's hard to tell from the video but those tyres looked awfully small, there's a big gap between the top of the tyre and the wheel arch. Sure they weren't non-standard low profiles?
Hey it was still moving forward ( albeit slowly) and not digging holes in the turf.
Letting a bit of air our of the tyres would have assisted - he probably had them pumped up rock hard.
Attests more to uselessness of low profile road tread tyres rather than capabilities of a Rangie.
I'd say those road tyres were on their way out by the looks. Probably a good thing he didn't give it a boot full, might of slide straight into one of those parked rigs....![]()
