A cheap and cheerful way to fit new rubbers, is to get some 1/4 by 1/8 flat sealed sponge rubber weatherstripping from Clark Rubber and with a few minor cuts in the right places for the 90* corners and it will make a seal possibly better than genuine, and can be fitted without removing the flaps.

I re glued the existing one back in (come on its only 10 years old).

I'm fully expecting to have to re do it again soon and if so I'll use 20mm x 6mm self adhesive that I happen to have on a role left over from making engine room hatch covers on my crusier.

1. I'm a tight ass bastard and when I saw a new 110 seal kit for sale on E-bay I thought "if that goes over 20 bucks + postage its too expensive." Wrong, They are a ****load more than that from a dealer. Mental note to self, check price from stealer n then start bidding.

It was at this point a rather funny but evil thought formed in my head. Using my HR profiling skills I came up with the following selections criteria for an LandRover assembly line worker pre 1998.

1. Must have graduated from Oxford after haveing been sent there by Mummy n Daddy as a means of getting him off the farm.
2. Must smoke a pipe charged with Dr Pat and own at least 2 Cardigans, preferably one with a faireyle pattern in it and have a slightly "lanoliny" smell to it.
3. Must have owned a "deluxe" Mechano set between the age of 14 and current and must still have the spanners (very handy for doing the vent assebly).
4. Must have owned a hornby train set. This is just in case the career @ Landrover falls through and the applicant is forced to seek alternative employment with British Rail
