In a Defender I would be mentioning the road footprint - physically no bigger than a "medium" wagon like a Camry - and the 2.5l diesel using less fuel than a Camry as well. When I first bought the Stage 1 I compared it to the Subaru Forester I then had - same width and weight and only about 30cm longer. Of course the carb V8 was a lot less efficient but that's been fixed with the newer diesels. No-one has ever chipped me for driving a 4wd.
