Being an auto, you should use your "Hill Decent Control" it even works in reverse

Oh yeah 32s will increase to ratios too, amazing how much faster it is when going down hills compared to 31s or even 30s.

You'll need 4.11s diff gear sets, especially because yours is an auto, or take a change of undies

lower reduction gears might help when going down hill but it's the nature of the auto box as the torque convertor slips a bit when going down as opposed to the manual box which is fixed by the gear ratio. Mind you auto's kill manual boxes in just about every other aspect of 4wding. So easy up hill climbs (no clutch slipping to worry about) and over really rough and rocky terrain are alot less jerky and easier to control as the box almost always has you in the right gear. I once read somewhere that if get the engine revs up too about 1500 rpm b4 you descend and lock your foot in that position. Then with your other foot apply the brakes too cut the revs back down to 800rpm and as you descend you just keep adjusting brake pressure to keep it there. This would prevent the brakes locking up and you turning into runaway toboggan.Saying that i've never been game enough too try it myself and i think lots of practice would be needed first. Also I've been dow some nasty hills and always found with the right timing of braking and the disco's allready lower than most reduction i've always managed too get down with only the occasional change of underwear needed. Doesn't d2 have hill descent control?

I'd be white as ghost too if i was piloting 70k+ of truck downhill relying on electronic wizardery and my own incompetence to get me out of it without breaking anything.
