I am answering this as an ordinary member of the LROCS, but can imagine how frustrating this must be for you and have an idea what has gone wrong.
When you pay the membership via the Paypal link on the website you don't get the renewal form that usually accompanies the manual renewals. The membership Secretary usually processes renewals from the forms and payment. It may be a simple oversight of referring the payments from the Treasurer to the Membership Secretary.
Resigning from an organisation because of dissatisfaction with a committee is not a good way to progress. All that results is the committee never has to pull up it's socks and do things better.

Bat for boths of us mate OK :D
Hey, don't blame me:p
I am hoping to get regular trips happening with those that have campers, like most clubs these days camper owners are left out because the trip co-ordinaters deem that campers won't do the tracks they they do when going from camp to camp, i can tell you from experience they will and i have:D
Of coarse there are tracks that you wouldn't attempt, but then alot of those tracks are the extreme hill climbs and most won't do these while travelling between camps, these are for when exploring without all your camping gear, and besides that there is always a way around.
Also i'm not into driving all day pitching camp then packing up next day to go to the next camp, with OR without a camper.
Baz.
Hi Rover-N-It,
I have just spoken to the "New Membership Secretary" & she's promised to "go through" things tonight & ring me back tomorrow. When she does, I'll check on the status of your application.
If you PM a contact No., I'll contact you after her call.
Best Wishes,
Peter
I know your frustrations - I had exactly the same experience trying to get membership info through even when I paid my membership in cash at a meeting.
It was about 2 months before it was all sorted :(
Hi Baz, Having met Rover-N-It, I know that his comment is meant as a joke, but a barbed one. He was a member of another club that required basic training before attending any trips (a good idea in my perspective), but unfortunately the club didn't conduct a basic training course for the two years that he was a member.
I'm not surprised at his concern, but know that the LROCS club will come through.
