It would seem that ..."there is movement at the station".

    May the movement continue.

Thanks to the LROCS members on this forum I was able to contact the "New Membership" Sec. yesterday. She promised to "look into" things last night & ring me back today - which she has just done

She says that both my & Rover-n-it's application were processed last night & that our new members kits will be posted out today.

Many Thanks to all that helped.

Welcome to the LROC (Sydney Branch) - I hope that communications improve and would welcome some new 'blood' on the committee. There are always areas for improvements in any club and these need to be communicated before they are realised and can then hopefully be acted upon.

BTW the clubs Snowy Huts working bee this year will be from 26th Dec to 2nd Jan and work will be done on the mud brick hut of Major Clews - a surveyor on the Scheme.
PM me if you require further (contact or other) information regarding this trip.
    Roger

Ron, would you be interested in being part of that change?
Yup, I'm still a member and I'm glad to see that LROC are now planning a trip out once a month starting next year. The whole reason I joined the club was to go off-roading but my impressions arfter joining were not too positive as "the club" were interested in doing too many other things it didn't seem to have time to organise or run off road day trips.

There are/were individuals in the club who did put on trips but the trips seemed to be a little sparse.

Anyway, I'm not going to discuss my thoughts too much on a public forum like this!
