Rovernit I was not Patronising you, I was volunteering to show you that a stock suspension can get to all the places a lifted one can.

I know how well it went standard I found that approach angels meant that I often had to take chicken tracks hence why the lift

I'll take you up on that challenge some day when it all sorted not a prob as you once said honey get the recovery gear now who getting patronising ah but for now its about sorting it out mate

Hydraulics are very expensive

You need them to fix your ACE up

Is it a matter of just getting bigger rams or do you need to increase the volume and size of the pump, reserviour, serpentine belt, pulleys, bigger lines and a new module?

Do you have to re write the ECU?

Do you mean like Unimog hill at Lithgow? :twisted: It's really just a matter of finding somewhere where clearance is marginal for a lifted truck. :D

Ramps, there are also heap and heaps of them in the bush. You've just gotta get off the graded tracks. :p

so apart from the first photo (would you attempt it in your car) what image wouldn't a stock suspension do?

And do ramps give a definate representation of what you encounter offroad?

Theres irony in it but how about looking at some Lowrider sites, they use Hydraulic rams just like the ones in the ACE setup. If they can make an F250 jump surely they should be able to make a D2 flex up.

ACE hydrolics dont have to be touched just need to find the centre of movement basicly place where it should be at standard meaning longer links

no but they do help with R&D, i use the work fork to test what ive changed b4 i go out, the only time i didnt i broke the eye of a rear shock.:(

and there are ramps in the bush!

They were all with reference to being no ramps in the bush. I'm saying that they're everywhere, not any comment on if a stocker could drive it.

I doubt a stocker D2 would drive this purely due to clearance. This one is Unimog hill at Lithgow. If thats the show, I'll make sure I'm there to watch. :)
