By any chance, is there anyone here in the medical profession?

Want to do some backyard medical mechanics ?

    The quote

"Well I'm not an expert, but I'll have a look at it for you"

    comes to mind

really though if it concerns you go see a Doctor, or a hospital.

that is definately not something you do at home by yourself, the variables for disaster are too great.

One is hoping that you are talking about a poorly knitted old fracture and not something you'd get "Fat Tony"* to arrange on someone else!

If it's the former, I do understand your sympathies, however it is something you do need to talk to your GP about. If you can find a good GP it is most of the battle.

You find good GP's in your local area by word of mouth from friends you trust.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Probably nothing a fitter-machinist and a boilermaker can't handle given the right set of tools & a couple of bottles of rum.

    Questions:

    1. Do the bones belong to you?
    2. Are you sure you're after a MD and not a Psych?
    3. Do watch a lot of movies and TV like "jackass"?

    Prescription:

If you answered "yes" to two or more questions - you need help
If you answered ""no" to two or more questions - you need help

Finally, are you sure this belongs just in "general chat"? I think "jokes thread" or "technical help" would be more appropriate.

Because the bones are in my hands (knuckles) I think its best I get them re-broken and set properly, because Im sure it will be a problem when Im older. Oh, and a toe.. but *shrugs*

If you have them re-done they will be a problem when you're older. Hands are a very specialist area of "plastic surgery" and very few really good practitioners.

As I said before YOU NEED TO HAVE A VERY LONG TALK TO A GOOD GP you will need a referral at the very least.
