Just changed the auto fluid to TransmaxZ,,,
amazing difference!!
Mrs Pedro can't pick the change points.
feels like what I imagine a CVT must be like.

Hey Pedro is that the equivelant of dextron III?
Blythe
They are all Dex 3 now days, so what would make your one so
smooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooth?![]()
Down at the parts place the other day and all theirs bar 1 (AC Delco Brand) were Dex 2.......
Thats ok I didnt understand why either as pretty much everywhere else only sells Dex 3.
Ive never been sure of what the difference is, something to do with operation temp range or something but Ive never really asked anyone before to know.
Most of my tractors I have had in the past have run Dex 2 as their Hydro oil.
By the way, there is 11 ltrs of ATF in the trans, converter and cooler where if you just change whats in the sump it is only 4.5 ltrs so there's still plenty in there.

The same applies to your braking system. You would be amazed at the difference a full change of brake fluid can do.
Example. I once owned an XS 650 cc Yamaha, that was a real bitch to pull up. An older more experienced rider advised me to change my brake fluid, completely. Keep bleeding and topping up, till there is clean fluid at every bleeder. First time I hit the brakes I damned near went over the front.
But generally whats in the convertor stays in the convertor, it fills and stays full, doesn't really circulate
