Hi mates, having a beer on the PC I come across this site, I hope that is not a repetition of a previous post.

    I say old Chap!

    It looks very British.
The chaps with the berets are wearing "Para Regiment" badges.

Stayed with 3 Para, Aldershot, way back in 1972.
Nice spot, tough lads , dreadfully cold in January
Especially if you went there from Singapore!

    Pip pip,

    What a beautiful sight

I spent years dreaming of owning a Defender like those. Driving through Sydney with no roof or windscreen, motorbike & dog in the back.

Was it on this site that I read the Australian army is looking to replace their Defenders with Merc G wagons?

    That'd be a real shame.

Read a magazine article the other day about some Aus Army guys in the NT on coastal patrol. Apparently it's not unusal to drive through rivers so deep the driver has to stand and only his head is above water.

    Go the Landy. "

allways makes me laugh when people knock landrovers

    they're slow
    they're gutless
    they're cramped
    they're ugly
    thier on-road driveability is poor

    but......

    they'll go anywhere off-road
