It refers to a PTO driven Chaff Cutter that ran fron the power take off and was mounted on the 3 point linkage. put the slashed & raked fodder in and chop it up, blood* dangerous thing in unskilled hands.

When I was doing the Agriculture Mechanization course we done some research and the result was John Deere, Toro and Kubota third.
Front decker are the best if the ground conditions permits it. They are faster and you can keep the grass under control near trees and fences.
