Hi Spudboy, mine looks very much like yours. Apart from losing the oil from the gearbox, via a loose oil cooler union, mine has gone well. Around 230,000km so far, the engine is no problem.Does your cab shake a lot ?It's the main issue for me as I live in a shire with rough roads and the doors rattle a lot even after I have adjusted the locks as much as I can.Cheers, 130man.

Bad luck about the oil union coming loose. Any damage to the gearbox?

Mine has done 130,000Km and yes the doors are a bit rattly. I can't even turn up the stereo to compensate as I still have the original cassette player in there which is pretty much useless. I wouldn't say that the cabin shakes a lot though.

I too have had minor door issues where the plastic ferrule around the steel locking pin has worn through on the door lock and it was hard to close for a while (kept bouncing open even if you slammed it). I must get a new one but I have discovered that if I rotate the worn part of the plastic 180 degrees it is not too bad so I live with it like that.

Hi Spudboy, I am not quite as tall as you but the extra legroom in the cab sure is welcome. The gearbox fried and had to be replaced.I bought a recon. box from All 4X4 in Newcastle and so far it is going fine. With regard to the doors, they appear to shake vertically in the door opening but there is no movement in the hinges so I conclude that the cab is moving back and forth a little to give the same appearance. The gap between the top of the door and the cab roof lip where I can see and feel it while driving shows different widths especially on bumps. I wore out the plastic sleeve on my catches on both sides and replacing them made only a slight difference.I took out the roof lining and tightened up the roof bolts but noted no improvement. There is no support to the cab from the chassis at the B pillar so my next try is to install brackets there [passenger side done already].The box body is excellent for my purposes. It makes a great tool carrier and converts to a snug camper for one easily. My wife finds it too tight for her comfort plus awkward to get into.I have installed two windout windows to improve cross ventilation and insulated the roof with polystyrene. Walls are next on the list.Cheers, 130man.

Would not mind for that extra cab on the back of my deul cab. Would then be able to push the back seat back for more leg room.

Several body builders carried out the mods. There were 2 in Sydney, one of which is across the road from my workplace.

I have heard that each builder did the job differently from the other so there may be some differences in the actual job.
