Hi Lou.
I have been using Auto glym for years on different cars, the super resin polish (red label) for paintwork. Have heard that meguiars is good too.
The metallic paint is laquered so no worries there. The bonnet will probably be harder work if it has been in the sun and not polished over a period of time.
Give it a good wash/rinse and chamois first so you dont leave dust or grit to rub in with the polish. Use a soft cloth, old tshirts are good. I usually do a panel at a time so it doesnt dry too quickly. Doing mine next week after giving it a good service hopefully
