    Please explain

Looking into the weather reports in my area, I was reading about the precautions that the authorities have taken in Fraser Island. They evacuated about 1000 campers and the rest was relocated inside among the trees in their tents.
Is it not going to be the first fatality in Australia for a camper in a tent caused by a tree branch landing on the tent and squashing the occupants!!
Basic camping advice tells you to not pitch the tent under trees in case of severe weather.
Here we have 90 to 110 kph winds for at least the next 48 hours and they relocate people under the trees. I cannot understand it.

Here is not too bad, the only problem is in high tide. We lost about 3 meters of sand dunes along the 17 km beach.
The clouds with heavy rain moved to the sea
Another low pressure system is forming around Cairns.
It is going to be an interesting summer
I just wonder if the Mary river is going to have the mother of all floods this summer
    Cheers

I assume they were going over to stay in accomodation...surely they were not letting people on as they were evacuating
This is a joke, seems to me that money talk a bull.... goes in barges
The pommies should go to the Cape and stay there
