Things have changed since this morning.

Still, first ad makes the second look dodgy. First ad - registered in Qld, says the car is in NSW, phone contact is an 03 prefix.

    Confused.

    Cheers

Well it's now a Sydney number on the ad - and if it is in fact through a dealer (as the advert states), they could have bought it wholesale from anywhere on the east coast so a Qld rego is not that strange.

Anybody who gets sucked in by this deserves to get stung.

    First - a D3 overnight turns into a D1.

Phone / contact details have changed.

Ad still states $11,990 as the price, but the price on the window of the D1 is $9,990

    There's one born every day.
    Cheers .........

Well, the email i got back said this- "BEFORE WE CAN GO FURTHER TELL ME THE MAKE AND YEAR OF THE VEHICLE THAT YOU WANT TO BUY FROM ME BECAUSE I MUST TO BE SURE THAT YOU WANT TO BUY MY VEHICLE"

That is a copy and paste job from my email. It had no sign off name or introduction, that is all it was. My email had already said make and model so ....

Any way, I went further and emailed back, this is a bit weird!..

They're probably ready to put millions of dollars into your bank account, they just need a mere few thousand sent to them via Western Union to set it all up.

hahaha, I just got a reply and it said they would like to use paypal. Their english is extremely broken. I'm continuing with the communication as I have nothing better to do on this "wonderful" NYE!

It is said due to divorce the lady is selling it with 3 months warranty and lady not need car of this sort.

I think this is rather amusing really.

    Keep you posted.

hahahahaahahaha, here is the reply to my question of inspecting the vehicle-

"I'm realy sorry for you but i think is to late for inspection because i'm not in the country for the moment (like you know i just finished the divorce with my husband and i have moved to my parents home in London,United Kingdom for a while.) And ship company already prepared the car for ship. I want to tell you that is to late for inspection and the only way that we can close this deal is to make me a deposit($4000) to eBay so i could start the ship. In case that you are still interested please email me your final answer.
I will ship my car from Darwin. You will have 15 days from the time you receive the car to inspect it and decide if you want to keep it or not. If by any reason, you will not be satisfied for the car, you will return the car to shipping company with no xpence. I will pay for shipping.
If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name and address so I can initiate the deal through eBay."

So just a 4 grand deposit!!! lol.

ppl r becoming right jerks these days.

    Hmmmmmmmm.

Sounds very similar to a scam I was reading about in yesterday's Sunday Times. Apparently someone in South Africa contacted the Kenworth dealer in Perth about a truck they (Kenworth) had advertised. Withoug wanting to know too much about the truck at all, the South African party agreed to purchase the truck. All that was required to get the deal on the go was for Kenworth to make an advance payment of $4,000 to a shipping agent nominated by the South African party to pre-book the transport / shipping of the truck from Perth to South Africa. Once this was done, and it could ONLY be done from the Perth end, the South African party would pay Kenworth the full price of the truck plus the shipping cost. They even provided details of two credit cards which would cover the payment.
    Cheers .........
