    Battery Box (Drivesafe)?

Just wondered if there was any progress on your idea for a portable battery box that you had discussed earlier? Thanks mate

Hi gofish, working on it at this very time.

Got any suggestions for what you would like on YOUR battery box, I’m in the process of writing the program running for the micro so any ideas would be welcome.

    Cheers.

G'day Drivesafe thanks for the incredibly speedy reply. I was just after something that I could power the fridge o'nite with & charge either in-car whilst driving or at the wall before a trip (or at a powered site). An extra power socket or two would probably be a good idea too. Don't get me wrong I think duel battery set-ups are good but if I want the fridge out of the car or to take it in my wifes car then it's not much use. Also if/when I swap cars (LR of course ) it wont be an issue. Hope this helps & thanks again mate.

Hi again gofish, the electronics behind the new battery box has already been well and truly field tested thanks to some great help from Redback, Incisor and a handful of others ( not on this site ) so it’s just down to finalising the actual box’s operations and, what is slowing down whole thing at this time, is the testing the box’s operations.

I’m in the process of making some new ACCURATE testing gear so I can get the micro set up exactly how I want it.

As I get closer to having it ready ( which will be very soon I hope ), I’ll list some of the functions, many of which are not available on any other commercially available battery box, not much use making something everybody else already has.

    Cheers.

    Thread resurrection.

So Drivesafe - do you sell battery boxes wired up with outlets etc?
There is no mention on your website (that I could find).
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

This may also be an option Vlad: CM Dual Battery in a Box at Opposite Lock Australia (note that the price includes a battery). You can find more details here Dolium Pty Ltd

Hmm according to that TJM site the battery is NOT included. I'm sure I could make one a heap cheaper without all the stuff I don't need like a charging system) - the SC80 will take care of all that.

Hi Vlad and Karlb, I am working on them at this very minute.

I hope to have the production units in stock no later than the middle of next month.

I’ve got a few extra features added to the original concept and I’m just fine tuning everything while I wait for the boxes, to house the controls, to arrive.

Pricing is not finalised yet but they have to be available as quickly as possible because these boxes are now being developed by way of a joint venture and the other party is ready to start selling them.

    I’ll keep you informed!
