I just gave away 2 series gearbox/transfer cases to someone who could use them and could pick them up. They are heavy and have a habit of pouring oil all over the place when moved.
I reckon the best way to find out what something is worth is to see what someone will pay for it. You could put each item on eBay with a low start price and low reserve. Or you could offer it cheap through a forum like this one. The problem with paid advertising (including eBay) is that your costs can really eat into what you get for the stuff.
