usually you'll find there is at least 1 mistake on the greenslip. I have often wondered if this is the companies loophole to take your money and get out of insuring you if you smash the car.

Was with a friend reporting his stolen Fairlane to the Police at Russell St Police Station as the car had been stolen in Carlton, this was the exhange as he was giving the details of his loss to the Policewoman behind the counter

    Make Ford
    Model Fairlane
Is that a sedan or Station Wagon - Sedan Fairlanes aren't made as Station Wagons
    Automatic or Manual - Automatic
    Engine Size - V8
    Colour Navy Blue
Is this car owned by the Navy No Car is private
Why are you reporting it then as a Navy Car
    I'm not
You just said it was a Navy Car
No l said its Navy Blue
Oh l thought you meant the Navy owned the car

Police Intelligence Testing isn't what it used to be.

One well known insurance company failed to get my business (or even be considered because, they insisted, my 2a could not be a 1970, because Land Rover did not make any cars before 1973. Similarly, according to the RTA it is a table top utility because that is the only model made in that year (it is an ordinary ute). Computers make everything easy, don't they? You don't have to have staff that know anything or have any common sense - just look it up on the computer!

Yes I've found in the past with suncorp that when I called to advise them of modifications (minor) on cars & bikes the girl on the switch typed in a comment against the policy to note it but they steadfastly refused to give me a copy to verify it.
Always had me worried & suspicious.
