Land Rover + Tools = Skin Off

Yet again i have managed to take skin off my knuckles and bleed more for this landy . whether it being rusted bolts that snap or tools that slip off . I think i have managed to take skin off every which way known to man . Even took a full blooded swing at a cheisel , missed and took skin off with the hammer . So tell me has anyone in the world stripped and rebuilt a landy without taking skin off ? I'm doubting it but you never know

I beleive you can't fix anything properly without giving it enough blood. You'l know when it's had it fill as the job will be finnished.

Try some brake fluid in a squirty bottle it makes a brilliant release agent, much better than the spray cans sold for the purpose.
Problem with the Series landies alot of the bolts arnt metric or AF,B.S are in between both.
Just thank your stars you arent on warfin or asprin to thin your blood.I know a few blokes who are, they bleed profusely!!!!

    G'day LandyAndy

I know what you mean, as I am one of those people that is on Astrix for blood thinning, and yes, I do have to be careful at the moment I am sporting a very blackened thumb nail as a result of a slipped spanner trapping my thumb between the inner guard and the steering box cover on a Series Landrover

Wannalandie, most of the bolts on a military series 2/2a are SAE(UNF) but the frontend/steering are BSF, particularly the swivel housings and gearbox casing bolts, spring shackle bolts SAE.

    cheers

    I'm a natural bleeder.
I noly worry when I'm not spraying blood from an injury.
People who don't know me always want to drang me of to casualty when I cut myself but I have learn't that lots of blood means minor and it will stop in 20 mins to half an hour. No blood means panic now while I have time to act.
