When are your usual RDO days?

Saturday and Sunday.
Confusing isn't it!
Some people have a 38 hour work week but are at work 8 hours per day. To off-set the 2 hours lost each week the hours are accumulated into an extra day off. Some people call this a "Rostered Day Off" or RDO.![]()
However when you are a shift worker on a 7 day cycle you may have your "weekend" at any time during the cycle and these are also called Rostered Day Off (RDO).For a shift worker, the 38 hour off-set days are frequently called Additional Day Off (ADO)
So when someone asks "When are your usual RDO days? " they should also specify whether they are talking to a shift worker or a non-shift worker.

When I was with Telstra, I had every second Friday off.![]()
So on a public holiday long weekend, I would either get a four day weekend, or three long weekends in a row.
One of the things I miss about that job.

What ever day I want to take them (within reason) - I just took 5 in a row to give me an extra week over Christmas.
