TD5 can be quite vocal when being pushed and would intrude into the cabin . Curious to find out as new Defender will be available here soon.

Yes, fair point. I'd still say the 'Fender is more so but I have to admit I'm a pretty sedate driver and driving the Defender assists with that!
I wonder if the auto box is more intrusive then the manual?

Well deefer to deefer the 07 is quieter than big red. But then I pulled all the insulation out of mine....

Hmmm... On a NVH level (in the cabin), I'm not sure.
The TD5 Disco will probably be better but the 07 Defender is actually pretty good now.
Give them both a try & see what you think.
