    I quite like the man
Yep - he's definitely a straight-up bloke. Another who surprised me on that show was Jack Thompson.
    Cheers .........

No way I'd drive at those speeds in that thing! Was interesting some of the things he said before the said accident. Poor bloke was **** himself - but can't fault him on his lack of guts. (Bet they get paid alot though!). If only he left it at two runs instead of pushing the envelope & going for the third!

Great bunch of blokes though, & love the good natured ribbing & banter between them.

Hind sight is a great thing, he looked seriously worried the first time then less so the next two times. He looks to have aged too.

While we're on Hammond and big crashes, his Evel Knievel interview is on SBS tomorrow night (Wednesday) at 8.30 PM.

I don't think the Top Gear boys are good interviewers, but they do have interesting subjects

Unbelievably, according to wikipedia, that was the last interview Evel Knievel ever did....

Just watched as taped the program, pearler of a show, absolutely killed myself laughing over when the Hamster ordered 75 lots of fish and chips, then they pan back later......classic. Great to see the genuiness too at the end between the 3 of them, its what makes it such a great show to watch,

    Regards

I use to like the show, until I watched the Polar episode, and the way they cained the ute, and some of the antics - are they really that stupid, and have NO commonsense, and did you see the shoddy work they did on the paving and line marking - get real - who allowed that to happen.
The reason that they are so popular is because of their laid back style, and the way they test drive the cars, they have brough back the humanistic, everyday average persons perspective of the tested cars.
I will not be too worried if I miss an episode from now on, more important things to do.
