I would be interested in any tyre with a diameter of around 36 inches. Ken has had 7" Disco steelies reversed to aproximate the S2B rims so that is another possibility. Or even bite the bullet and go to a wider rim for the right tyre.

Scare me: how much for the Interco?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

To tell you the truth I'm not really sure. But I'd think well, well over $400ea. You'd have to get them brought over special too.

The Interco SAM-52 and SAM-53 are normally known around the traps as the Super Swamper TSL Q78, or just Q78's. A lot of people in the past used to swear by these, but the trend is now towards fatter tyres for whatever reason. The Q78 isn't a street legal tyre AFAIK, but reportedly a good one for offroading. There are a few odd ones that go for sale on Outerlimits4x4, though if its a tyre you're interested in, then the man to see in Sydney at least is Peter Antunac from OPW (Offroad Performance Warehouse), and if not OPW then there is also ACE tyres at Smithfield who are full of Swampers, Boggers, IROCs etc. I'm not sure about the cost, though they're not dear for a Swamper, but I would guess at about $360-400/tyre from OPW.
    Cheers

I've had a set of 265 75 R16's on my Fender for about a year now - in my opinion, they are a brilliant tyre. I like them because they are multipurpose - they have good road manners and seem to be wearing very well (read not much) ; plus they give great traction off road.

    They also look cool.
