They can sue me as much as they like .... you step on my property with the intentions of stealing or hurting my family and you are going to cop it bigtime :mad: . in my eyes they don't have any rights once they invade my property . Last year i chased some moron over the back of my fence with the baseball bat after i seen him hanging around my car after midnight . I bet he ended up with a bloody sore leg as i got one good swing in as he went over the fence :twisted::twisted::twisted:
As a security knowing full well the ramifications of man handling someone you just can trisk it, A cash truck guard is furnished with a hand gun, now if he pulls that handgun and shoots some rat bag, he is charged with dischargeing a weapon in a public place, why give him the gun if he cant use it to protect the swag.
A security guard has no more powers of arrest then your dog, a citizens arrest is basically an arrest without warrant and these can boomerang big time on you if you have restrained someone.
A case in Adelaide a few years ago, an old retired guy had a new fence put up, nightly the skanks would call past and decorate it, eventually`the old got the dirts so he waited up and when they came he shot one , he went to jail.
West Oz has good laws relating to home invasion I think from memory.
They regulated the industry here and as bouncers they must wear a separate ID tag with there number in big print, The industry underwent huge reforms some years ago and if yo didnt have a cert 2 in security ops you couldnt work, nearly half the security companys in Australia folded as they had guys who couldnt get licences due to police records etc, this did wonders for the industry,
We see every day where courts fail the victims by not giving crims decent sentences, pointless asking why, the judges do what they do, guess they have guidelines to adhere too as well, you just cant man handle people like they used to be able to, the definition of assault is also funny, technically you only have to invade someones personal space and thats classed as assault which is silly, I think everyone has the right to defend what is theres but to what degree?
Lawful or not and yes if the bad man is doing something wrong, that gives me every right to what is required, society or not. Unfortunately it is that "civil liberties" mentality that allows these ***** to get away with what they do. Do a snap poll and the civil liberty mentality would lose. I have 4 children and one on the way, if the bad man enters my place doing wrong, that is up to me to decide what to do. Threaten my family, even if that is stepping onto my property without reason and expect hell to cross your path.Quote:
Its never been lawful to use excessive force in defence of property or another person, what is reasonable force is a subjective question determined by the courts.
Just because the bad man is doing something wrong doesn't give you the right to kill or harm him, that is a job for society through the court system.

As I understood it, reasonable force is up to an equal force. ie, if they pull a chop stick on you, you can't shoot them, but you can fence using chop sticks.Quote:

In some country like Sweden or Switzerland if you are caught drink driving they keep your keys, drive you way way out of town and let you walk home, guess you would sober up quickly,
