ok guys, i know this has probley been done to death but what would you
expect to get out of a 4.2 rangie, its driven fairley hard (I like the loud pedal)
I'm get ing a constant 400 Ks give or take 6Ks, out of a tank, refill around 92-96 liters depending on time of day...
have got 450, driveing at 80Ks but was very boreing...
so this works out to 23.11L / 100K's (average taken over 9 fills)
is this good bad or ugly

Thats not what I wonted to hear, I was getting this sort of mileage out of my carby rangie, when I put the system on the efi rangie with uni chip,I up-rated the gas system to the computer (little black box) which controls a stepper motor which controls gas flow so I thought I would get better economy bugger
Tony
Paid extra for the stepper motor setup and are getting 250 kms per 60 lts around town. On the open road 350 easy, but thats driving like a nanna.

When I'm here I want to be out there.
I get about 25 liters per 100 from a twin carb 4.3 I recently fitted a vacuum gauge - I think thats going to make a fair difference as it tends to make you a lot more aware when you're getting heavy on the loud pedal.
I'm at 20/100 out of a 3.5L. And that's driving it hard with weight in the back.

I got worse than that out of my 4.2 l Landie towing a 16" caravan. Its the same gearing ( you never said if you have auto or manual) and has carby setup. It needed a new converter recently as power was down. Rangieman is on the mark.

Hi, I have a 93 with lpg.
Get 300k's per tank at 70litres and no more. On long trip sure but around town no way.
Its a 4.6 conv but still.
Guy called Jilden in Crafers in SA is an absolute master with these cars and conversions.
Good luck.
Frank
I can squeeze about 300-350KM out of a 70L tank of LPG.
God, I wish it were more!
