If after that, and you feel that you have been "fisted" for no reason and you can provide evidence to show that, then go for it through whatever means. If however there is some truth to behind what has happened, then maybe time to have a look in the mirror and look elsewhere. Naturally if someone gets fired they are the last person they look at for the blame, in most cases it is spot on. Then the people around the person are generally sympathetic as opposed to empathetic. All I am saying is if the shirt fits...wear it, if it doesn't, do something about it,

i understand what your saying here and yes i do have a poor atitude to young ******* i work with that should know better but this place seems to keep them on and keep paying them. as for them saying its hard to make me work well the results say other wise we get reports every month with our efficiency rateing and im over 90% month in month out after cracking out my emplye hand book it states in there i was spose to have too writen warnings ect not that it means **** it will be pointed out today and the fact that 4 brand new cars have been sold there to friends and family on the sole fact that i work there
As much as I hate to use my sister as an example , but she went through a stage where she was getting fired and it was always "their fault". It had nothing to do that she was good at her job...she was. However she had a habit of telling either the boss or her senior that they didnt have a clue, employed the wrong people, didnt know how to run a business etc. From what you have said above, rightly or wrongly, you have a bad attitude when it comes to younger workers. Now put yourself in the bosses seat, maybe that attitude has caused problems/issues unbenknownst to you. When it came to problem employee's I would get them out as quickly as possible. It can also be a case as some have suggested, you maybe better off working for yourself. Some people make great employee's, some are better off working for themselves.

As stated before, you would want a pretty strong case, if there are issues that can come and bite you in the butt so to speak, I would take the advice of TP7. Please also note, that I am not having a go, moreso a different perspective and that I am very familiar with these type of situations. I once had a lass who came into work late, job performance was average and I caught her on more than one occasion with feet up on the desk, kicking back. Out the door she went, she then tried to have me up for sexual harrassment. I said "go for your life", nothing eventuated but from then on in if it was a female I had to let go, I always had to have a senior female in the office as a witness.

    Fisted?

This happened to me years ago when working in my trade as a mechanical fitter. I'd been working on a large conveyor roller and lifted it up with the overhead gantry crane, took my finger off the UP button and down it came CRASH!!!
Nearly got the apprentice's feet at the same time. I reported it to the so called management and said the crane needed fixing and their reply was "Get up there and fix it yourself".
I told them that no way was I going to as it needed an expert to fix that and other probs., like it jerking and crabbing along it's rails.

Next day I was sacked for "performance issues" and after attempting to contact the union rep who had mysteriously disappeared, I went home and got on the phone to the DLI who at that time covered safety issues with machinery.
Told them the story together with the info. that these cranes according to old hands at the workshop, hadn't been weight tested for 20 years, the machinery inspectors just wrote out the tickets and off to lunch with the supervisor.
Nothing happened so after a fortnight I rang again and reiterated the story together with the date and time I'd rung previously.

HO HO HO that was it, the DLI moved in and they condemned 3 gantry cranes as being totally unfit for purpose and they were removed very soon after that. Must have cost a fortune to replace.
    Served the barst*rds right.
They couldn't have cared less about safety of the workers as there was plenty of tradesmen around at the time.
Good luck trying to get some justice.
    Alan.
