I just stood there, wiping the grease off my arms & legs (yea, it was the middle of summer), & laughed at him.

So yep, I know exactly how you feel. I'm still suffering withdrawal symptoms not having a motor bike, which will be next on my list after I finish throwing money at Goanna.
